The building is constructed mainly from timber, the structure is formed using laminated beams and the walls clad with Scottish larch from a certified sustainable source. The roof is covered in a singe ply membrane laid with a sedum grass roof . The rain water drainage runs to a single point where it is filtered and collected. Storage is located on high ground and water flows down hill to irrigate the school sports field.
